Last week was spent in Seoul, where I attended the International Congress of Aesthetics, ICA2016. It was the 20th world congress organised in my field by the International Association for Aesthetics. The theme of the congress was Aesthetics and Mass Culture, and there were well over 300 participants from all around the world.
This was my 3rd world congress and it was very nice to meet colleagues from previous years but also many new faces. I gave two papers in Seoul, the first was “New Urban Aesthetics: Technology, Design, and Everyday Life” on Thursday 28th. The second paper, "Future Definitions of Everyday Environments", on Friday 29th was part of the Rountable discussion on Extending Everyday Aesthetics organized by International Institute of Applied Aesthetics.
